Description: MobileFirst Platform Server is a runtime container for the Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration (OSLC) adapter and server-based application components. MobileFirst Platform Server includes an administrative console and an application store for publishing apps within the organizations. This software is the target component of, and paired with, Maximo Anywhere. The MobileFirst Studio is used to configure and test the Maximo Anywhere apps, and to manage the build and deployment process. This software can additionally allow users with transactional capabilities direct access to back-end system and cloud-based services.

This technology is available in two editions; development and consumer. The scope of this entry only covers the consumer edition of the technology. Additionally, there are two deployment options available for this technology; on-premise and in the cloud. The scope of this entry only covers the on-premise deployment.

This technology may be configured upon installation to store data in either an Oracle Database or DB2 database.

Users must ensure sensitive data is properly protected in compliance with all VA regulations. Prior to use of this technology, users should check with their supervisor, Information Security Officer (ISO), Facility Chief Information Officer (CIO), or local Office of Information and Technology (OI&T) representative to ensure that all actions are consistent with current VA policies and procedures prior to implementation.
