Description: Oracle JDeveloper is an integrated development environment (IDE) that is designed to simplify the development of Java-based service-oriented architecture (SOA) and Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (Java EE) applications. This application enables development in a variety of script and markup languages. Oracle JDeveloper covers the full development lifecycle from design through deployment.

This product utilizes the Oracle Database, Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server database, or DB2 database implementation. With JDeveloper, users can create, edit, or delete online or offline database objects. Additionally, users can create new offline database objects or import database objects from a connection to a live database, and generate Data Definition Language (DDL) that can be used to create and update database definitions in online database schemas.

Note: There are two editions of this product: Studio Edition and Java Edition. The Studio Edition is the complete version of JDeveloper with all features. The Java Edition contains only the core Java and Extensible Markup Language (XML) features. This entry covers both editions.
