Description: Java Runtime Environment (JRE) for JRockit, formerly known as BEA JRockit, is a specialized JRE tuned specifically for the Intel architecture and WebLogic Server. The JRockit Java Virtual Machine (JVM) implementation includes the JRE, class libraries, and other files that support the execution of programs written in Java.

The JRE technologies track tightly with the Java Development Kits (JDKs) as well as to the Java Platform, Standard Edition (Java SE).

Oracle purchased Sun Microsystems in 2010, which managed the JRockit technologies. The JRockit technologies were moved alongside Oracle`s Java SE solution. The product link for Java Runtime Environment (JRE) for JRockit has a tab for downloads that no longer offers new downloads, though extended and indefinite support is available for this product for purchase. The archive files are available for developers looking to patch or fix older systems.
