Description: DSS Order Tracking Manager (OTM) Pharmacy is a web-based, Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA)-integrated solution that streamlines workflows and allows users to manage pending inpatient and outpatient orders and consults. The application includes a customizable dashboard view of VistA Orders and Consults for Ward and Pharmacy staff, displays upcoming appointments to help determine workload, and allows administrators the ability to enter and assign tasks to User Roles, Specific Users, or Clinic Location. Staff members can track and complete the tasks from within OTM. Filtering functions allow a quick way to address stat orders, inpatient, outpatient, or overdue orders, as well as filtering by location. Additionally, this product is being introduced into the Hawaii Health Care System (HCS) by the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) and has the potential to expand its usage within VHA.

DSS OTM uses a graphical user interface (GUI) application directly connected to VistA providing real-time information. Users connect to VistA through OTM by using personal identity verification (PIV) Authentication or Access/Verify codes. This technology`s web application server can be installed on a physical or virtualized server within the VA network.

Data is accessed and stored in VistA within the VA network.
