Description: ForeSite Seating System (SS) (previously X3 Medical) desktop software is a wheelchair analytics and pressure imaging solution. ForeSite SS recognizes the presence of an assembled wheelchair sensor pad system when installed, and will create a new session when a new recording begins. This technology shows the elevated pressures, and provides the ability to evaluate symmetry and mark anatomical features. Files are transferred via Universal Serial Bus (USB) as Portable Network Graphics (PNG) images.

Please Note: ForeSite SS is the rebranded version of X3 Medical. X3 Medical has been discontinued.

This technology offers different deployment types, which are ForeSite SS Tablet Wireless, ForeSite SS Tablet Wired, ForeSite SS Desktop Wired, and ForeSite SS Desktop Wireless.

The data generated from this technology is saved on the local hard drive of the user in a text-based format. This format can then be transformed into HyperText Markup Language (HTML) or a file for Microsoft Excel. ForeSite SS software information is encrypted with Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)-256.

This entry covers the Desktop Edition of this technology and not any mobile versions. Please note that the implementation of mobile technology applications that operate on Mobile Operating Systems must be reviewed and approved by the Mobile Technology and Endpoint Security Engineering Team: http://vaww.eie.va.gov/SysDesign/CS/MT/default.aspx.
