Description: Connexion is used to convert data for interfacing with hospital host systems. It is an interface engine used to receive patient abstract data type (ADT) data and upload transcribed results exported by the Veterans Affairs` (VA) hosted Dispatch Server.

Connexion will convert and upload the Microsoft Word documents processed by the Dispatch Server from Rich Text Format (RTF) to Health Level 7 (HL7) format needed to upload the transcribed jobs into Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA). It also receives and processes the ADT data for MedX to upload to MModal for use in transcription of the dictated job. Connexion uses Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server to house the interface code as well as the data that is processed by the ADT and Results interfaces.

This technology does not have a dedicated website after it was acquired by a new company, 3M.
