Description: Evaluation Protocol (EP) Evaluator is a laboratory statistics program used for clinical laboratory method evaluation, validation, and quality assurance. Evaluator is designed to meet the needs of the clinical laboratory, including 21 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 11 compliance. Users can validate the performance of laboratory test equipment using the software`s statistical capabilities, as well as generate reports that can be signed and filed.

This technology is available in two editions: Standard and Professional. This entry covers both editions.

This technology does not utilize a database to store data. However, EP Evaluator is interoperable with Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) and Data Innovation`s Instrument Manager (IM). Per the vendor, this technology can connect with IM via Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) to download specified data (from the IM database) directly into EP Evaluator to create the targeted statistical experiment/calculation. Any modifications to data brought into Evaluator in this way are stored locally on the user`s computer (or on a network share) in the EP Evaluator data folder for that project`s experiments. Evaluator does not alter data within the IM database in any way.
