Description: The AudioRECALL software module is an automated outbound telephone application that calls healthcare staff to inform them of an emergency, a need for them to return to the facility, or a general announcement by using the Private Branch Exchange (PBX) system to call them. Call plans are set up within the AudioCARE system that indicate the staff members that should be called, the priority of those calls, and the order in which of the staff member`s phone numbers should be called.

All Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI) are retrieved from Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA), and are used to identify and validate the patient calling. Further, information is written to the Cache database or Intuitive Reliable Interoperative Scalable (IRIS) for Health in order to create reports that include details regarding phone calls that were placed and the financial information that was relayed to the patient.
