Description: The Unit Modeler Application Runner is a limited version of the Unit Modeler Intelligent Software Development Environment (ISDE) executable. This technology allows for users to purchase and download pre-built models and software through the system and run the intended end product software. For example, this technology can be used to run medical imaging case builder and simulation learning applications such as Echo Test and Teach. Additionally, this technology gives users automatic access to the Data Analytics and Math packages, as well as all other released content included within the Public Library.

This technology does not utilize a database to store data. However, this technology has the capability to connect to various databases to query information and produce reports.

Servers can be made private or public, and can reside on the vendor`s cloud or on one`s own hardware behind their firewall.

The TRM decisions in this entry only apply to technologies and versions owned, operated, managed, patched, and version-controlled by VA. This includes technologies deployed as software installations on VMs within VA-controlled cloud environments (e.g. VA Enterprise Cloud (VAEC)). Cloud services provided by the VAEC, which are listed in the VAEC Service Catalog, and those controlled and managed by an external Cloud Service Provider (i.e. SaaS) are not in the purview of the TRM. For more information on the use of cloud services and cloud-based products within VA, including VA private clouds, please see the Enterprise Cloud Solutions Office (ECSO) Portal at: https://dvagov.sharepoint.com/sites/OITECSO
