Description: Multiple Virtual Storage (MVS)/QuickRef is a key mainframe support application that is available to programmers and administrators within their active Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF) session, even when the internet is not available.

Please note that there is no specific product page for this technology and thus the vendor webpage is used in its place. The vendor is undergoing website domain changes and provides many links to Multiple Virtual Storage (MVS)/QuickRef resources that are faulty or inactive.

Multiple Virtual Storage (MVS)/QuickRef comes pre-loaded with IBM utilities. Other features include a cut and paste feature, a QPRINT command to print selected items to System Out or Direct Access Storage Device (DASD) file, a Text Mark feature to mark a place in an item or list and return directly to it later, DASD free space reporting, and a complete user database feature the user can use to store their own reference information. This application can assist in coding various programs to save time and minimize errors. This technology provides instant online access to all of QuickRef functionalities including message descriptions and reason codes on z/OS, OS/390 and MVS systems, storage statistics and runs as a background ISPF application. This technology enables the user to invoke QuickRef within an active ISPF session, providing solutions or options to the question to be presented.

The TRM decisions in this entry only apply to technologies and versions owned, operated, managed, patched, and version-controlled by VA.
