Description: Power Analysis & Sample Size (PASS) is research software used for calculating the number of subjects that should be used in a study. This technology performs power analysis and provides sample size utilities for over 740 statistical test and confidence interval scenarios. This technology contains functionality for sample size estimation and power analysis for the following types of tests: one or two means, multiple means, correlation, normality tests, variances, one proportion, two proportion chi-square, survival, and regression.

This technology does not utilize a database to store data. User settings, procedure templates, and calculation values are stored on the local hard drive. User settings are stored in the user`s AppData folder by default. The procedure templates contain the settings that are used to generate reports and are stored in the user`s Documents folder by default. The user has control over where these are stored and the location can be changed in System Options.
