Description: EMCO MSI Package Builder is an installation editor designed for the creation of MSI Windows Installer packages. This technology allows users to create `silent` MSI packages that have a single installation workflow and preconfigured installation options. These silent packages may then be used to deploy software packages to unattended machines. Additionally, this technology allows users to convert standard executable (EXE) files to MSI files for unattended remote installation.

This technology is available in three editions with different sets of features; the Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition, and Architect Edition. The Professional Edition contains the base functionalities of the software and allows for the repackaging of simple installations into MSI packages. The Enterprise Edition contains all functionality of the Professional Edition but also allows for the repackaging of advanced installations into MSI packages. The Architect Edition allows users to create Microsoft App-V packages in addition to the functionality included the Enterprise Edition. The scope of this entry is for all three editions.

This technology does not utilize a database.
