The site is intended to be a central location for all IT performance metrics and customer satisfaction reports. It includes IT performance data related to enterprise systems, human resources, financial, asset and other data. OIT leadership and our customers use the data to manage their business environment and to report external customers such as OMB on our efforts to provide world-class service to our customers. In addition to automated reporting, future dashboard releasees will include features to enable more advanced decision support, correlations of data sets, and other types of self-help analysis and self-service reporting.
As background, OMB provides status information on the IT investments of 28 agencies (VA included) at their website http://it.usaspending.gov. This information is limited to “Exhibit 300” – detail level (a total of 41 for VA) and does not show visibility into the status of projects that comprise VA’s IT development activities. To provide greater transparency into cost, schedule and overall performance of IT projects, OI&T information currently being collected as part of the Internal Monthly Performance Review will be displayed here on this page.
The data is currently displayed in a PDF format and is the initial phase in providing project data. In the coming months, as additional phases are implemented, the look and feel of the data will be enhanced and expanded to complement the information already posted on the website. Look back in coming weeks for the transformation.
