The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information and Technology (OIT) actively recruits individuals who excel in delivering technologies and services to improve the Veteran experience. Recently, two technology all-stars joined VA to help OIT achieve its vision to become a world-class organization that provides a seamless, unified Veteran experience using state-of-the-art technology.
Vicki Michetti, Director of Cybersecurity Program Integration and Chief of Staff, Office of Information Security

In this role, Ms. Michetti is the senior cybersecurity advisor to Paul Cunningham, OIT’s Deputy Assistant Secretary for Information Security and Chief Information Security Officer. Before joining VA, she worked for the Department of Defense (DOD) delivering cybersecurity policies, strategies, and metrics in the Office of the DOD Chief Information Officer and leading the DoD’s cybersecurity partnership with the Defense Industrial Base. Her focus at VA is on repeatable business and security processes to ensure OIS continues to be more responsive and resilient especially when a crisis occurs. “The VA is an outstanding place to work,” she says. “Whether you are an IT practitioner, defender, or policy maker, VA has an opportunity for you.”
