Description: LabChart is data analysis software that operates with PowerLab hardware connected to a personal computer via Universal Serial Bus (USB). This software creates a platform for recording devices (like a finger pulse transducer) to work together, allowing researchers to acquire biological signals from multiple sources simultaneously, then apply advanced calculations and plots for experiments within a laboratory environment.

This technology is available in several editions; LabChart, LabChart Pro, LabChart Pro Student License, and LabChart Reader. All of the editions have similar functionality, except LabChart Pro comes with additional support and LabChart Reader has no licensing fee.

This technology does not utilize a database, as files generated by this technology are saved to the user`s local drive as a proprietary file format.

There is an optional extension, LabChart Remote which allows users to use the LabChart Remote App. This module allows users to connect iOS devices to sampling computers.

This entry covers the Desktop Edition of this technology and not any mobile versions. Please note that the implementation of mobile technology application that operates on Mobile Operating System must be reviewed and approved by the Mobile Technology and Endpoint Security Engineering Team: http://vaww.eie.va.gov/SysDesign/CS/MT/default.aspx.
