Description: BMC Automated Mainframe Intelligence (AMI) Developer Experience (DevX) Code Debug for Time Sharing Option (TSO) and Information Management System (IMS) an interactive mainframe z/OS environment application debugging and testing utility. This technology provides productivity solutions to application programmers who are developing, enhancing, and maintaining Common Business Oriented Language (COBOL), Programming Language 1 (PL/I), Assembler, and C Language programs in a real-time environment. This technology`s capabilities include test environment setup, test execution under full control of the programmer, and the ability to view and update all data elements within a program during a test session.

BMC AMI DevX Code Debug for TSO utilizes a DB2 database to perform Stored Procedures testing. This technology will intercept and debug DB2 Stored Procedures running in Workload Manager (WLM) address spaces.

Note: This technology was sold to BMC by Compuware in 2020, and was rebranded from Compuware Xpediter/TSO to BMC AMI DevX Code Debug for TSO.
Technology/Standard Usage Requirements: Users must ensure their use of this technology/standard is consistent with VA policies and standards, including, but not limited to, VA Handbooks 6102 and 6500; VA Directives 6004, 6513, and 6517; and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards, including Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS). Users must ensure sensitive data is properly protected in compliance with all VA regulations. Prior to use of this technology, users should check with their supervisor, Information Security Officer (ISO), Facility Chief Information Officer (CIO), or local Office of Information and Technology (OI&T) representative to ensure that all actions are consistent with current VA policies and procedures prior to implementation.
