The HFA can transmit exam reports in Portable Document Format (PDF) or Tagged Image File Format (TIFF) to a Windows shared folder using Common Internet File System (CIFS). In addition, the HFA can transmit exam data in a protected format to a Windows share folder, for backup and restore purposes.

This technology is deployed in conjunction with a hardware device. It can be deployed via a floppy disc or a Universal Serial Bus (USB).

There is a II-I and a III-I edition of this software. The II-I and III-I are different applications as they support different hardware devices. This entry only covers the II-I software.
