Description: The GX-2012 Data Logger Program software allows for the interpretation, downloading, and storing of information gathered during air sampling taken from the GX-2012 multi gas detector. The sampling is used to determine if the atmosphere is safe for employees to work, e.g. oxygen content, presence of flammable gases. The hardware communicates with this software via Infrared Data Association (IrDA)/Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable.

Note: This evaluation covers only the software associated with the hardware, and not the hardware itself.

This technology stores downloaded data in a proprietary database. This database file is automatically stored locally on a computer`s hard drive in the same folder as the GX-2012 Data Logger Program. In this configuration, a computer only has access to its own database. Only data downloaded to that computer may be viewed. The database can also be set up on a network location where multiple computers could access the same database. All computers accessing that database could view all data that was downloaded from any computer.
