Description: CancerGene is a Windows program for estimating the likelihood that a family carries a mutation in one of the cancer predisposition genes. Users enter family history information which is then analyzed using a variety of mathematical models. This software draws a pedigree and archives family history and mutation probability information.

Data can be stored in either a Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server Database or a Microsoft Access Database.

The product website is not accessible within the VA firewall.

This product has been rebranded by a different vendor and is now known as CancerGene Connect. CancerGene Connect is hosted in Microsoft Azure and users access the program via a web-browser. This entry is specific to the CanerGene software as limited support for CancerGene is still available.
