Description: PowerView software is one of three components of the Medication Event Monitoring System (MEMS) that measures and analyzes the compliance of patients to prescribed drug regimens. The software collects real-time data on the patient`s monitor via Universal Serial Bus (USB) connection, transfers the data from the monitor to a personal computer (PC) by means of a communicator, stores the medication event data in a database, calculates the results, and displays or prints reports of these results (tables and plots).

PowerView can optionally connect to Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server database. The standard information stored includes a patient code and the associated adherence data such as a monitored period, a regimen, and the date/time of opening a medication package. Data is encrypted in the database using a symmetric encryption algorithm - Triple Data Encryption Standard (3DES). There are two editions of this product: PowerView 3 and PowerView 3-Pro. This entry covers both editions.
