Description: Olympus cellSens digital imaging software platform performs image capture, display, and analysis of biological images. This software allows for the control of motorized and encoded microscope components, and provides several measurement functions, which do not affect the measured image.

This technology has several editions which include cellSens Entry, cellSens Standard, cellSens Dimension, and cellSens Dimension Desktop. This assessment is for all of the editions.

cellSens software only stores data as directed by the user in the context of the `Save` or `SaveAs` functions. The information stored is germane to the image only. There is no customer data either acquired by cellSens or saved by the application when images are saved in generic Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) file formats. The Olympus .vsi format includes extended metadata capable of retaining end user notes pertaining to the image. cellSens can save imagery to any location accessible to the user as mediated by the Windows operating system and the limitations or access restrictions of the end user`s Windows account. Optionally, a Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL)-based image repository is available for cellSens, which allows for central control and indexing of all images saved by cellSens users within a network. cellSens does not have any capability to encrypt image or metadata saved either to the Windows file structure, or to a database instance.
