Description: The Connex Electronic Vitals Documentation (EVD) software transmits patient vital information over a wireless or ethernet connection. The technology stores the information in a specified Electronic Medical Record (EMR) on a hospital network. This technology aims to assist users in eliminating time and errors while recording patient data.

This technology utilizes a Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server database to store patient information.

Per the vendor, this technology is still supported; however, new instances of this technology are no longer available for purchase. The vendor has stated that new users interested in this software should instead look into adopting the Connex Central Station (CS) software.

Welch Allyn, the original vendor of this technology, was acquired by Hill-Rom Services, Incorporated in 2015.
