Description: LoadRunner Enterprise, formerly known as Performance Center, provides a management framework for software and system performance testing and analysis. Adding to the capabilities of LoadRunner, this technology is a web accessible centralized repository used to manage performance testing assets and to schedule and pool resources that can be accessed by users globally.

This technology is available in two editions, Virtual User Days and Volume Pricing. This entry applies to the Volume Pricing edition. The base functionality of both the Virtual User Days and Volume Pricing editions is similar in that they both allow for multiple users to test application loads; with the Virtual User Days edition allowing for individual users to be added and Volume Pricing allowing for a large number of users to be added at an enterprise level.

By default, this technology uses an Oracle database to store data. This technology may also be configured for use with external databases such as the Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server database and the DB2 database.

This technology may be deployed entirely on premise, as a hybrid cloud solution, or as a full cloud deployment.

The TRM decisions in this entry only apply to technologies and versions owned, operated, managed, patched, and version-controlled by VA. This includes technologies deployed as software installations on VMs within VA-controlled cloud environments (e.g. VA Enterprise Cloud (VAEC)). Cloud services provided by the VAEC, which are listed in the VAEC Service Catalog, and those controlled and managed by an external Cloud Service Provider (i.e. SaaS) are not in the purview of the TRM. For more information on the use of cloud services and cloud-based products within VA, including VA private clouds, please see the Enterprise Cloud Solutions Office (ECSO) Portal at: https://dvagov.sharepoint.com/sites/OITEPMOECSO

Note: Former software division of Hewlett Packard Enterprise became part of Micro Focus as of September 1, 2017.
