Description: Food Processor is a nutritional analysis program that calculates calories and activity levels for weight gain, loss, and dietary needs. This technology can build recipes to view nutrient values, export data and build reports, access Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) guidelines for foods used in the analysis, create scenarios, build an exercise program, and calculate Metabolic Equivalent of Tasks (METs).

This technology is packaged with a nutritional database. The nutritional databases are shipped with the desktop software products are a custom subset of the Elizabeth Stewart Hands and Associates (ESHA) master database. With Priority Support, users can download additional recipe and ingredient databases. The Genesis database contains all items that are in the Food Processor database, plus nutritional data for chemicals and flavoring agents.

Food Processor stores data in a Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server database that resides on VA servers. This technology supports data encryption and can be setup as a standalone or network/shared install. Additionally, this technology can be hosted in the vendor`s Microsoft Azure cloud environment.

The TRM decisions in this entry only apply to technologies and versions owned, operated, managed, patched, and version-controlled by VA.
