Description: Extensible Markup Language (XML)Spy is an XML editor for modeling, editing, transforming, and debugging XML-related technologies. This software provides a graphical schema designer, a code generator, file converters, debuggers, profilers, full database integration, and Visual Studio and Eclipse integration.

There are two editions of XMLSpy: XMLSpy Professional Edition (limited version) and XMLSpy Enterprise Edition (full version). This entry covers both editions.

This technology enables users to connect to a variety of data stores (which may be a database server or database file) such as Microsoft Access, Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server, SQLite, PostgreSQL, MySQL Database, Oracle Database, and IBM DB2. The software can then perform operations such as querying the database, importing the database structure as an XML Schema, generating an XML data file from the database, and exporting data to a database. This product does not support encryption.
