Description: Quartz Job Scheduler is a job scheduling library that can be integrated with or used alongside Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE) or Java Standard Edition (Java SE) applications. This software executes software components when a pre-determined time arrives. Additionally, Quartz Job Scheduler includes features such as Java Transaction Application Programming Interface (JTA) transactions, clustering, and persistence via Java Database Connectivity (JDBC).

Work data such as job, triggers, and calendars is stored in Job Stores. Users may choose either TerracottaJobStore, which stores data on the Terracotta server, RAMJobStore, which stores data in Random Access Memory (RAM), or JDBCJobStore, which stores data in a database via JDBC. JDBCJobStore works with various databases including Oracle database, Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server, PostgreSQL, and DB2.
