Description: LabPro Connect is a laboratory technology that creates a network link between multiple Beckman Coulter microbiology scanning instruments and workstations in a laboratory environment to make them accessible from other computers. This technology installs onto each LabPro workstation, customer-supplied computer, and LabPro Database machine in a laboratory environment to create a network. This technology allows users to access all results from any MicroScan instrument with the LabPro Network and perform daily tasks like ordering panels, printing barcode labels, viewing panel results, resolving panel processing alerts, and transmitting test results.

LabPro Connect stores data on an InterBase database, which is located on the Main Database Computer. Other computers and scanning machines that are on the same LabPro Connect network can access and save data to this database.

This entry covers both the LabPro Connect Open System and LabPro Connect Closed System.
