Description: PostSharp is a pattern-aware compiler extension for the programming languages, C Sharp (C#) and Visual Basic (VB). It allows developers to remove boilerplates by offloading repeating work from to the program. PostSharp contains ready-made implementations of the most common patterns and gives users the ability to build automation for personal patterns.

This software comes in six editions that each provide niche capabilities. These include PostSharp Framework, PostSharp Extensible Application Markup Language (XAML), PostSharp Diagnostics, PostSharp Threading, PostSharp Caching, and PostSharp Essentials. The PostSharp Essentials edition is offered as Freeware, while all other editions have trialware available. However, there is a single download for all editions and licenses, and therefore, this assessment covers all editions.

This technology does not store user data, but there is an optional integration, through the use of PostSharp XAML edition, that would allow PostSharp to integrate with other Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) frameworks.
