Description: Typhoon FLA 9500 Control Software is software installed on a Personal Computer (PC) which is required for the operation of the GE Typhoon FLA 9500 biomolecular imager. Typhoon FLA 9500 is a variable mode laser scanner with modular access to the optical components, and the software provides imaging for quantitation of proteins, nucleic acids, and other biomolecules. Biomolecular imaging functions include sensitive and quantitative measurements of Western blots, multiplex fluorescence, and radioisotopic labels by storage phosphor, as well as digitization of colorimetric stains. The imager connects to the PC via Universal Serial Bus (USB) 2.0 cable which allows for data acquisition and processing.

Note: This technology was rebranded to Cytiva by GE Healthcare in 2020.
