Description: DSS Radiation Oncology is a software that automates the process of generating health record progress notes. It has been customized and designed specifically for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) radiation oncology standardized clinical note templates (CNT). The software consists of multiple templates in the Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) that capture and manage data for patients receiving radiotherapy. The software guides users through a forced radiation oncology charting workflow. Clinical data extracted from these templates may then be used by clinical professionals to provide a framework for the assessment of the quality of radiotherapy provided through VHA.

Data collected by this software is stored in a Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server database.
