Description: The Radimetrics Enterprise Platform is designed to merge and mobilize patient radiation dose histories and current exam details in order to bring analysis and solutions to the point-of-care and enterprise. The software supports dose reporting and tracking, protocol management, and benchmarking. The platform is intended to help patient-care teams report, track, and manage radiation dose and contrast dose throughout the chain of care.

Radimetrics Enterprise Platform is a web-based application that does not operate in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment. The application is hosted on premises and is accessible by web browsers on the VA network. The application does not require access to the outside internet, with the exception of a dedicated Virtual Private Network (VPN) between Bayer and the VA for the purposes of remote implementation and support services.

The application stores data in a PostgreSQL (Structured Query Language) database which resides on a server at the VA site. Database encryption is currently not supported. Patient factors and technical factors are stored per diagnostic imaging. Radimetrics will store Patient Name, Age, Date of Birth (DOB), Gender, Height and Weight, as well as examination factors including: Performing Physician, Technologist, Study Description, Protocol Name, Institution Name, Modality, Equipment Name, Equipment Manufacturer, and Serial Number. Data is sent via Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) from an imaging modality and/or Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to Radimetrics, where the DICOM is analyzed and parsed into values that reside in the Radimetrics database.
