Description: Panasonic FP Connect is an ActiveX control for the Windows operating system. The software incorporates the Panasonic Communication Manager to establish multiple communication channels via RS-232/485, Universal Serial Bus (USB), Ethernet or Modem to Panasonic`s Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and GT-Panel.

This software collects data. A Panasonic PLC unit logs information from different sources such as sensors, motors, Human-Machine Interface (HMI), and many other industrial devices. FP Connect works as a bridge between the protocol used by Panasonic PLC and the user software environment (for example Microsoft Visual Basic). The user will format the data collected from the PLC, through FP Connect, accordingly to the application development platform. This platform can set security options such as encryption. FP Connect provides raw data and the user determines the formatting of such data.
