Description: The M2S Preview Treatment Planning Software is a system for viewing patient-specific data on a personal computer (PC). Raw scan data is extracted from computed tomography (CT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), or other sources, and rendered by Preview into a three-dimensional (3D) format.

The M2S DicomArmorCar system transfers Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM)-compliant data from a healthcare center, scanning facility, or a physician`s office to M2S for processing. M2S uses these DICOM files to create patient-specific 3D packages (PAR), which are then provided back to the customer. The Patient Evaluation and Management System (PEMS) is an M2S-hosted web-based portal where physicians and others can place orders, monitor orders, view results, and download PARs. This system is not required for Preview to operate if Preview Compact Discs (CDs) are delivered containing the patient-specific component.

Preview is a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Class 2 medical device. Since Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI) are contained separately in the PAR and stored separately from the viewer, only those with access to the PAR will have access to the patient information. File access is regulated at each user`s site.

According to the vendor, data is stored separately on a file system of the user`s choosing or on CDs stored by the user. Since the data is on the user`s system, there is no need for encryption. Preview studies can be exported, transported, and imported in `PAR` files. `PAR` files contain patient data that can only be opened through Preview.
