Description: IBM Daeja ViewONE Virtual allows a user to open, review, mark up, and redact content without requiring a document`s native application. The technology is compatible with various file formats which include Bitmap Image File (BMP), Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Portable Document Format (PDF), Portable Network Graphics (PNG), and Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG).

There are several editions available for this technology which include Standard, Professional, and Virtual. This assessment is for the Virtual edition only. The other editions have different installation requirements and releases. IBM Daeja ViewONE Virtual is server-based while the other editions are web-based.

This entry covers the Desktop Edition of this technology and not any mobile versions. Users must ensure sensitive data is properly protected in compliance with all VA regulations. Prior to use of this technology, users should check with their supervisor, Information Security Officer (ISO), Facility Chief Information Officer (CIO), or local Office of Information and Technology (OI&T) representative to ensure that all actions are consistent with current VA policies and procedures prior to implementation.
