Description: Tableau Logshark is used to analyze and troubleshoot Tableau performance and activity by executing a set of targeted plugins to extracting data from Tableau Desktop and Server log files. The data are then built into Tableau workbooks that outline error conditions, performance bottlenecks, and background activity, which can be analyzed using Tableau products.

Logshark requires an implementation of MongoDB and PostgreSQL. MongoDB is used when Logshark is extracting data from the log files; PostgreSQL is required to serve as the backing data source for the workbooks that analyze the Tableau log files. Log files from Tableau Desktop are located on the user`s local computer; Tableau Server log files are created by taking a snapshot from the Status or Maintenance menu or by using the `tabadmin ziplogs` command.
